Introduction
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT 1994
stated that it shall be the duty of every employee while at work to take
reasonable care for the safety and health of himself and of other persons who
may be affected by his acts or omissions at work.
Inconsequence of this needs, Ministry of Human Resource, on 28th January 2000,
has ordered all civil worker, must attend induction course relating to safety
and health occupation before they are allowed to work in the construction area.
Objective
To provide awareness about the importance in having a safe & healthy work
place.
To change the perception towards safety and health at work place.
To convey general knowledge relating to the safety and health at work place.
To confirm with the act regarding safety and health at work place
Content
Module 1: Introduction, rules, cleanliness, prevention, fire, utilities, electrical equipment at workplace, mobile electric generator, and case studies
Module 2: Transport vehicle at workplace, crane, hoist, excavation, demolition, steel frame erection, rooftop works.
Module 3: Self protection equipment, working with scaffolding, working on the
road, working with water, and case studies
Module 4: Working in a contained area, soldering and cutting works, manual
works, working with chemicals, dust and smoke, noise and vibration, heat, ways
to handle accident and questions and answer session.

Who
Should Attend?
All employee who has never attend induction course for safety & health
either
by CIDB or NIOSH.
Training
Specification
Module being used are certified by NIOSH
Language used will be one suitable with the trainee.
Training duration must not less than 6 hours (equivalent to ONE day course)
Training will be held in training room complete with training utilities
Number of trainee cannot exceed 40 people. Minimum is 35
people.
Trainee will be given the NIOSH kupon at the end of the course.
